With the festive season slowly approaching and international travel ban lifted, I took a look at some of the most luxurious hotels in Africa that are considered world-class and a traveller’s dream destination.
- Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa.
Considered to be one of the most elegant hotels in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa with views of one of the 7 wonders of the world, Table Mountain. The Belmond Mount is a historical hotel with a beautiful colonial-style interior which complements its salmon-pink exterior. With excellent service from its world-class staff, you are sure to get value for your money.
2. Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve, Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Located in the biggest nature reserve in South Africa the Kruger national park. Sabi is home to many beautiful lodges but the Earth Lodge is the premium lodge. Earth Lodge symbolises a new era of luxury lodges in South Africa.
3. The Red Pepper House, Lamu Island, Kenya.
Declared a world heritage site, this beautiful resort in the majestic island Lamu, just off the coast of Kenya. The Red Pepper House is one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever seen. With only 5 houses/Rooms, the red pepper house is as exclusive as it gets. With views of beautiful white sands and blue oceans, you are sure to have a magical time.
4. Selman, Marrakesh, Morroco.
If the YSL museum in Marrakesh and all this beautiful country’s rich heritage wasn’t enough of a reason, the Selman Marrakesh has completely sold me. The luxurious design brought in by Jacques Garcia’s unique talent.
Along with the typical local architecture perfectly reflect the soul of the Ochre City and the Moroccan art of living. This beautiful resort at the foot of the atlas mountain is the perfect escape.
5. Delaire Graff, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
If you are a wine lover, the Delaire Graff Estate is a must for you. This beautiful estate is home to some of the world’s amazing wines. With a world-class spa, restaurant and beautiful lodge, this estate is a must this festive season.
